Ophir Gear is a new apparel company recently launched in October of 2021. Our brand was created after a vision and desire of providing premium gear that many would be proud to wear.

Behind The Name

Ophir - Pronounced as (O-Fear)

Ophir historically, was a biblical land known to have an extreme abundance of gold. The gold of the land was said to be the most finest in all of the world. The gold was so pure that King Solomon would receive a shipment of it directly from Ophir every three years.

1 Kings 9:28 says, "And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon." A common talent is 75 pounds. A royal talent is 150 pounds. If Solomon collected 420 royal talents of gold that would be 63,000 lbs or 28.35 tons which is worth about 420 million dollars in todays time.
